WEDDING COUNTER--> 671
Why a WEDDING COUNTER?
For a once in a lifetime event, the couple has to be reassured that they contracted an experienced professional that is able to face any potential circumstances during the wedding day. It is not a fancy camera that makes a photographer experienced, but it is their ability to deal with any unexpected conditions during the day like adverse weather conditions, poor lighting, reception venue limitations. A photographer with numerous weddings under their belt has the unique ability to predict the next moment, anticipate the couple´s emotion or reaction throughout the day, and is ready to capture that swift instance through the lenses.
One can easily spot whether a prospective wedding photographer has experience by looking through their portfolio of work.
Q&A
Below are a few great questions that some often ask me of my wedding couples before they have booked with me for their wedding day. I highly suggest that every wedding couple should ask these same questions and more before booking with any studio or photographer for their big day.
Q:1 How many weddings have you shot? A: I have shot over 600 weddings.
Q:2 Will you be shooting another wedding on my wedding day? A: NO! I am a one wedding a-day photographer. So that means I will not be arriving late because things ran behind with the previous wedding or rushing you on your wedding day so I can make it on time for the next wedding. Some photographers and studios will have the starting and ending shoot times in their contract so they can schedule other weddings before or after yours. I do not have any set starting or ending time for your wedding date in my contract. I commit my whole day to one wedding, so there will be no conflicts on my end if your wedding day schedule needs to change from what you thought at the time of booking with me.
Q:3 For some photographers I have checked with, I noticed that in their wedding contracts there is an extra charge to receive the digital images and the print release when my pictures are ready. Do you charge extra for this, or is it already included in your wedding packages? A: With my wedding packages, there is nothing else you will have to pay after your images are ready. My packages include it all. NOTE: The price you pay for wedding packages with some studios/photographers may only pay for them to be there on your wedding day to shoot your wedding. Sometimes there will be an extra charge to purchase your images and/or the print release after your pictures are ready. This way of doing business is nothing new at all, it has always been this way and a lot of wedding couples do not realize this until after their wedding when they receive the call from their studio/photographer that their pictures are ready and then find out that they owe hundreds or thousands of dollars more to have the digital images of their wedding. Also, some studios/photographers do not make any of your digital images available at any price, and the only option the wedding couples will have is to purchase prints, canvases, albums, and other photo products at the studio/photographer's highly marked-up price. Before signing a contract with me or any other studio/photographer, thoroughly read the agreement and ask lots of questions.
Q:4 Some photographers I have spoken with will get us the Low-Resolution Images but charge extra to receive the High-Resolution HD Images. Do you charge extra for the High-Resolution Images? A: NO, I don't charge extra; they are already included in my wedding packages. You will receive High-Resolution image files to print as large as you need.
Q:5 Why do you give your clients two sets of wedding images at different resolutions? Please take a look at the following two questions below.
Q:6 What are High-Resolution Images? You will use these image files to print on your printer or send them to a professional print lab to get the highest print quality. Please do not use these files to upload on any social media or website.
Q:7 What are Web-Ready images? These are image files set to the proper resolution to upload on social media, sharing in a text message, sharing on any social media messenger, and uploading on any website for them to look their best and have the fastest load speed. Please do not use these files to print on your printer or send them to a professional print lab.
Q:8 Do you include a Full Print Release? A: Yes, it's included in all of my wedding packages.
Q:9 Are you the photographer who will shoot my wedding? A: Yes. I am the lead photographer at every wedding that I book. NOTE: You should ask if the photographer's name will be on your contract. Don't assume that the photographer you are booking with will be the photographer taking your photos. Some photographers/studios have in their contract that they have the right to sub any photographer of their choice to shoot your wedding or sell your wedding contract to other photographers/studios.
Q:10 Some photographers I have spoken with charge extra to store my images and different for an online viewing gallery. Would you happen to charge extra to keep my pictures and extra for an online gallery? A: NO, they are both included in my wedding packages.

Q:12 How long have you been in business doing wedding photography? A: I have been in business as Ken Thomas Photography since 2005.
Q:13 My venue requires all photographers to have liability insurance to shoot at their venue. Do you have liability insurance? A: Yes, I have a 2 million dollars general liability policy.
Q:14 How do I set an appointment to visit your studio? A: Call or text me at 704-467-4343 or email me at Ken@KenThomasPhotography.com.
Q:15 Do you require a wedding contract to be signed to book a wedding date? A: Yes.
Q:16 How do we book you and sign the contract? A: We can set up an appointment to meet at the studio, or we can do it by email.

Q:19 Would you happen to have backup equipment? A: Yes, I have backup to the backup with all of my equipment.
Q:20 How many pictures will you take, and how many will I receive? A: On the wedding day, we take unlimited pictures. Never book a photographer/studio that guarantees a specific number.
Q:21 What type of paper will your Pro Photo Lab use for the prints and album? A: Acid-free, 50-year archival ink and paper that will stand the test of time.
