Below are a few great questions that some often ask me of my clients before they have booked with me for their event. I highly suggest that everyone should ask these same questions and more before booking with any studio or photographer for their big day.

Q:1 Given the rise of amateur photographers posing as professionals and seeing in the media the rising number of photos not turning out for paid up front events, I'm curious to know how long you've been photography.? A: It's become increasingly common for people to claim photography expertise. A true professional will have a substantial portfolio showcasing their skills. With over 30 years of experience and a dedicated business since 2005, I've captured countless unforgettable moments. Explore my extensive portfolio to see the quality I bring to every occasion.

Q:2 How many events have you shot? A: I have shot over 700 events.

Q:3 Will you be shooting another event on my event day? A: NO! I am a one-event-a-day photographer. So that means I will not be arriving late because things ran behind with the previous event or rushing you on your event so I can make it on time for the next event. Some photographers and studios will have the starting and ending shoot times in their contracts so they can schedule other events before or after yours. I do not have any set starting or ending time for your event date in my contract. I commit my whole day to one event, so there will be no conflicts on my end if your event day schedule needs to change from what you thought at the time of booking with me.

Q:4 For some photographers I have checked with, I noticed that in their event contracts, there is an extra charge to receive the digital images and the print release when my pictures are ready. Do you charge extra for this, or is it already included in your packages? A: My packages are all-inclusive. You'll receive high-resolution digital images and a full print release, with no hidden fees.
 
Q:5 Some photographers I have spoken with will give us the Low-Resolution Images but charge extra to receive the High-Resolution HD Images. Do you charge extra for the High-Resolution Images? A: NO, I don't charge extra; they are already included in my packages. You will receive High-Resolution image files to print as large as you need.

Q:6 How many pictures will you take, and how many will I receive? A: Unlike other photographers who often guarantee a specific number of images only to upsell you later, we capture every precious moment of your event day without limits. We believe in providing you with an abundance of memories, not a restricted package.  Avoid the disappointment of missing out on those unforgettable candid shots. With us, you'll receive all the stunning photographs we capture, ensuring you cherish every detail of your special day.

Q:7 What are High-Resolution Images? A: You will use these image files to print on your printer or send them to a professional print lab to get the highest print quality. Please do not use these files to upload on any social media or website.

Q:8 What are Web-Resolution images? A: These are image files set to the proper resolution to upload on social media, sharing in a text message, sharing on any social media messenger, and uploading on any website for them to look their best and have the fastest load speed. Please do not use these files to print on your printer or send them to a professional print lab.

Q:9 Do you include a Full Print Release? A: Yes, it's included in all of my packages.

Q:10 Are you the photographer who will shoot the event? A: Yes. I am the lead photographer at every event that I book. NOTE: You should ask if the photographer's name will be on your contract. Don't assume that the photographer you are booking with will be the photographer taking your photos. Some photographers/studios have in their contract that they have the right to sub any photographer of their choice to shoot your event or sell your contract to other photographers/studios.
 
Q:11 Some photographers I have spoken with charge extra for an online viewing gallery. Do you charge extra for an online gallery? A: NO, it is included in my packages.
 
Q:12 What are the restrictions for sharing photos online or on social networks? A: No restrictions with me.

Q:13 My venue requires all photographers to have liability insurance to shoot at their venue. Do you have liability insurance? A: Yes, I have a 2 million dollar general liability policy.

Q:15 Do you require a contract to be signed to book a event date? A: Yes.
 
Q:16 How do we book you and sign the contract? A: We can set up an appointment to meet, or we can do it by email.
 
Q:17 Do you offer a payment plan? A: Yes.
 
Q:18 What type of equipment do you use? A: Currently, I am using the latest Canon's full-frame mirrorless cameras and Canon's Flash systems when shooting weddings and events. I usually have 2-3 cameras with me on event day.
 
Q:19 Would you happen to have backup equipment? A: Yes, I have backup to the backup with all of my equipment.
 
Q:20 Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like? A: Absolutely!
 
Q:21 Can I customize your package based on my needs? A: Absolutely!

Q:22 Some photographers I have spoken with have suggested that it's best to go with the flow on the event day and be more spontaneous. I don't feel comfortable with that idea. What are your thoughts? A: I get this question often, and I want to be honest: this approach often comes from someone who isn’t a true professional and is looking for an easier way to avoid the effort needed to make your event day is covered properly. Planning your event day timeline is essential for ensuring a seamless celebration while also capturing all the beautiful moments you’ve envisioned. This doesn't take away from the any organic and spontaneous moments that will naturally occur on your event.

Remember, the timeline is not just about scheduling when photos are taken; it’s also about how they are taken. By working in advance with your photographer, you can enhance the flow of the day, take advantage of the best lighting, avoid rushed moments, and ensure you have plenty of time for all the special shots you’re needing.

Q:23 Several photographers I have spoken with have asked for compensation for the time spent during Timeline Planning sessions. Do you charge an additional fee for this service? A: No, I do not charge an extra fee for this. The creation of your timeline is a crucial aspect of my role, as it ensures a smooth and well-coordinated day while allowing me to capture all the moments you have envisioned.
